Abstract
Cervical pregnancy is one of the most uncommon yet dreaded forms of extrauterine pregnancy. Most cervical pregnancies result in early spontaneous spontaneous abortion, complicated by severe life-threatening hemorrhage from the eroded blood
vessels
within the cervical tissue.
These pregnancies once carried a maternal motality rate of 40% of 45%, and until recent years they usually resulted in abdominal hysterectomy as a lifesaving procedure. However, increased awareness of the importanco of preserving childbearing
capacity
in the past decade has led to several successful attempts at conservative management that include cervical suture, tamponade of the cervical canal, ligation of the internal arteries, and cervical amputation and repair.
We report two cases in which cervical pregnancy was diagnosed in the first trimester and in which the patients were successfully treated with methotrexate without surgical intervention
